Lilith embodies the ancient archetype of the dark feminine, channeling autonomy, transgression, and the latent power of the shadow. The conch at her womb evokes generative and transformative potential, while the ramshorn she holds functions as protective armor. Her presence confronts and commands, inviting reflection on the hidden and suppressed aspects of the psyche.

A mirror mounted on her back transforms the figure into a reflective nexus, turning the encounter outward as much as inward. Viewers are drawn into a dialogue with their own desires, fears, and shadowed impulses, encountering both vulnerability and power within the same form.

For this exhibition, Lema Ahmadi invited fellow artist Nefo Zhang to contribute a complementary work. The kinetic glass-and-metal sculpture captures light and gases within a rounded vessel, forming an ephemeral cloud that hovers between materiality and immateriality. The piece introduces a sense of flux and ethereality, echoing the themes of transformation and introspection that underpin Lilith.

Together, the works form Elysian Flux.
