Evolution of The Wrong Species is a three-part sculptural installation tracing the gradual emergence of a dragon figure. The sequence progresses from a seated posture, to a tentative crawl, and finally to an upright stance balanced atop a dragon egg. The egg functions as a symbol of latent potential, an ongoing evolution that has not yet reached its limit.
The dragons have open wounds. Not healed. They stay exposed, like the process is still happening. They speak of transformation as something lived through the body. Each one is still becoming, held together by what’s broken and what’s growing at the same time.
By staging the dragon in multiple states of becoming, the installation reflects on growth as a non-linear process, fragile, painful, and expansive at once. Ahmadi positions the dragon as a symbolic mirror for the internal metamorphoses that define humans.
